SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is alarmed regarding the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher number SRD of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office focused on service the area every day. The service issue made for intervention activities a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
